Horizon BC/BS Made an Error for Claims 8/1 - 12/31

If you have Horizon BC/BS and have a NJ State Plan (the prefix of your insurance ID would be NJX) please note that Horizon incorrectly processed claims for well visits from 8/1/2011 through 12/31/2011.  They incorrectly paid as if you had no copayment due for those dates, but the "no-copayment" rule is really only in effect from 1/1/2012 to present.  Therefore, they are now requiring us to refund them, and to bill you for the copayments.  We wanted to alert you to this so you would not be surprised that we are billing you for copayments dating as far back as August.  If you have any questions about this, we recommend you speak to your employer or the customer service number on your insurance card.  Thank you for your understanding.
